Who is it suitable for?
I work with adults, children and teenagers and couples. I love working with people who are really willing and committed to look at what is holding them back . That’s where I come in because I can hold your hand through any challenges or limitations you have. All I ask for is commitment and a willingness to grow and to open up to change.
What happens in a session?
Your session will take place either at the Open Door Natural Therapy Clinic in West Bridgford, Nottingham or via Skype.
Here I will create the space so you can move through anything that is holding you back from your peace, happiness and freedom.
In a typical first session, we will discuss your particular issue and how it affects you and your life. We will then decide between us on a way forward by looking at where you want to be in the future so we have a pathway. We will look at releasing everything that is in the way of your goals.
Because I’ve trained in various aspects of working with the Mind, Breath and Body, (Coaching, NLP, Hypnotherapy, Breathwork, EFT, Yoga, Mindfulness) I don’t use a specific formula.
I treat each client as an individual and what works for one person, may not work for another.
What is certain is that I will help you move towards the life you are looking for.
What support will you get in between sessions?
After each session, you will receive an email highlighting the issues we worked through. You will also receive guidance on specific exercises, which will enhance your progress (e.g.: breathing exercises, journal work and reflection).
How many appointments will you need?
A lot can be gained from just one session, but I find that having the guidance and mentoring along the way really helps. Everyone would benefit from being supported in the way that you will be. Some clients have between 4 and 6 sessions whilst others benefit from coming once a month until they get their life back on track. So it’s really up to you how many sessions you have and how often.

What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful, relaxing experience where you are induced into a calm state of being through the sound of my voice along with background music. This will help you move into the ‘alpha’ state, which is a relaxed, open state of awareness. When you are calm and relaxed, you are more open and responsive to new ideas and positive reinforcements.
With Hypnotherapy, we are working with the sub-conscious mind. The sub-conscious stores all of your previous life experiences, your memories and all the emotions and memories you have ever felt. That is why many people consciously know why they keep doing something that isn’t good for them, but they can’t change the pattern because it’s the sub-conscious that’s ‘running the show’.
Please be assured I cannot control your mind or free will. At any time during a session, you can open your eyes.
Hypnotherapy can actually teach you how to master your own state of awareness so you can affect your own bodily functions and psychological responses.

What is NLP?
NLP stands for ‘Neuro Linguistic Programming’. It looks at the way in which we think, store and process our thoughts, our language patterns, our behaviours and programming and how we can change them for the better to enhance our life.
How many sessions will you need?
This depends on the presenting problem. Some issues can be dealt with in one session, whereas others may take a few months. It is generally recommended that a course of 4-6 sessions will give the most benefit.
